One way to enhance a room in your home is to remove your basic plastic, white, contractor grade, light switch and outlet covers. I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with these basic covers, except that they are boring! πŸ˜‰ If you want to add a touch of elegance and style to any room, then I recommend switching out your light switch and outlet covers!

Here are some basic examples that would go with almost every decor:

I LOVE this option!!! This is a standard wall plate called Tin Roof. You can buy them at Anthropologie for $18.00 each.

*This option is more expensive, so if you’re on a tight budget then I would recommend using this for your light switches in the room and then find another less expensive option for your outlet covers.

Now, these are just a few examples, but the possibilities are endless! There are also lots of handcrafted and decorative switchplate covers available! Check out http://www.switchplates.com for lots of fun themed ideas.

And for you, locals in the Richmond, Va area, make sure you stop by Artemis Gallery and check out the metallic arts graphics! Handmade switchplate covers with beautiful designs that are one of a kind! http://www.artemisgalleryrichmond.com/
